A federal or state-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, U.S. military ID or permanent resident card, is required for domestic air travel. A birth certificate is not acceptable.
Please note that the Department of Homeland Security has issued an extension for REAL ID compliance to May 7, 2025.
